Erica is an interactive live action thriller from Flavourworks and Sony, blending full motion video with real time decision making. The experience plays out like a psychological feature film, but the audience shapes the narrative through tactile choices that subtly shift tone, pacing and performance.

The story follows Erica Mason, a young woman haunted by visions connected to her father’s murder. Drawn back into the shadowy Delphi House, the player guides her through a web of trauma, memory and conspiracy. Unlike traditional FMV games, Erica uses seamless transitions and multiple performance takes to maintain a cinematic flow, allowing the narrative to branch without ever feeling mechanical.

I became involved early in the shoot, helping to define the editorial style and set the foundation for how the interactive structure would work on screen. My schedule meant I could only remain for twelve weeks, but in that time I worked closely with the talented directors Jamie Magnus Stone and Jack Attridge to shape performance, preserve emotional continuity and ensure the film remained coherent and cinematic across all its branching paths.
